Provides direct and indirect patient care. Communicates with physicians, nurse managers, co-workers, as appropriate related to changes in patient's clinical condition including diagnostic study results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Is able to perform general nursing duties.Must be able to assume responsibility for unit patient populations. Must understand and be willing to adhere to the service excellence standards established for Mary Rutan Hospital. Must demonstrate the ability to complete thorough patient assessments. Must demonstrate effective communication skills necessary to interact efficiently with all customers. Must be able to work independently and demonstrate ability to delegate appropriately. Must be able to effectively function in unexpected crisis in a calm, confident manner. Must be willing to adjust schedule to meet unit needs, float to and work in other areas as assigned and accept low census as needed. Must work required weekends and holidays. Must adhere to all staffing and personnel policies. Must keep all required licensures and certifications current.
